Tethering on iPhone OS 3.0 over AT&T
Hello everyone, I just found a way to enable tethering on iPhone OS 3.0 over AT&T. Download this file, ATT_US.ipcc, connect your iPhone to iTunes, option-click on the “Check for Updates” button, and select the ATT_US.ipcc file you just downloaded. You then should be able pair your iPhone over Bluetooth by going to Settings-General-Network-Internet Tethering on the iPhone, and pair your iPhone with you Mac as you would with a normal Bluetooth device. I tested compatibly with a iMac G3 with a D-Link DBT-120 Bluetooth adapter running Mac OS X 10.4.11 and a PowerBook G4 running Mac OS X 10.5.6 and both computers worked. This post was posted over at AT&T tethered iPhone. I will post a more detailed guide very soon, but if you have any questions, contact me. Enjoy!
